Maths Reflection

Today we did a times table test to see if we knew our multiplication facts. We had 100 questions and 10 minutes.

I got 96/100 in 6 minutes exactly.

My goal is speed.

Next time I want to complete all my questions in under 5 minutes and 30 seconds. To achieve this goal i’m going to learn 8×7 and focus more on not being as stressed.

Fitness goal

This year for fitness I would like to get better at running, I want to be able to run further, faster and do more laps of the bike track without stopping. I also want to get better at some sports like basketball, football and touch by getting better with skills.

I hope to achieve these goals all throughout the year.

We also did tech for my first time ever on Thursday I started doing woodwork, My teacher’s name is Mr.K we have started making a spatula with his machines and when we make it, my group is going to make a papa hou/treasure box. The first time was really fun and i’m excited for whats going to happen later on in the term….

Reflection on week 1

The first 3 days as a year 7 has been really cool getting to know some new teachers and students. Reconnecting with some old friends that were in different class’s last year has been nice cause we never hang out. For the three days we were at we have been doing stuff with different teachers and our kaiawhina group.

Some challenging things have been coming into this class for the first time, and not knowing that many people in here. I’m also scared and nervous about camp for the walk and having to do stuff with my group that I’ve never done on my own before.

Jumping June

In June we started skipping for the heart foundation.

we have been learning how to skip, I really enjoyed learning something new. I couldn’t really do backwards. it was fun to learn how to skip.

Do you know how to skip?

My Favourite Food

My Favourite Food is sushi. I like teriyaki on rice or rice balls, because I love seafood and rice. It smells like the ocean and I love to go swimming in the ocean or beach. I like sushi because it has lots of seafood and rice.

Do you like sushi?

How to deal with online bullying

Rangi Elijah and Oscar Online bullying by Rangi Robinson.

For digital citizenship we learnt how to keep yourself safe on the internet. I worked on a Canva with Oscar and Rangi, we had to do five tips to keep yourself safe on the internet.`

The reason we did this was to help us when we are being cyber bullied online or you know someone who’s being cyber bullied online.

Candle Art

For art we did candle art I did mine of  Rarotonga. First, we had to sketch a special place you like. Then, we drew 4 boxes in our literacy book and thought of something that would stand out like a animal. Next, we drew our sketch on a blank piece of  paper but its really hard to see. after that we drew on the paper and over the candle with watercolours to make it stand out. Finally, you let it sit and dry.

Neurographic Art

For CRT we did neurographic art. We did it with Kim. First we had to scribble lines on our paper. Next, we had to  round of all the connecting lines. Finally, you draw on the paper with watercolours to make it stand out. Have you ever done this type of art?

Football Reflection

Football Reflection, Term 4 2024

For Physical Education this term, I have been learning how to play football with Lottie, Lisa and Amy.

We played games to learn football skills. My favourite game was fishy fishy because we got to run around and kick balls at each other to tag everyone to warm up and get started

I have learnt to pass more and be better on defence.

I focused on improving my dribbling skills and shooting.

The most challenging part of learning football was learning to keep the ball while dribbling between cones to the side and back.

I enjoyed the game because we got to verse all the girls.

Next year I think I would want to play football.

I have showed resilience by not giving up when we were learning how to get better.
